I was looking at the directory and was wondering how does someones profile end up in there? Is i the friendica network "sees' you after a certain amount of time? Individual server "report" their users?

Also, how does a profile get listed as organization or group? I'd like to put a business and group on our friendica.

This "organisation" or "group" is the account type of your profile. And in your privacy settings you can define whether you want to be visible in the directory or not.
