Spring is springing - Day hikes in Quebec
Things are warming up. I think of bike rides, frisbees and food hikes through the woods.
I do not get out as much as I'd like but will try again this summer meet others re get out on the trials.
I am in Montreal and have slowly visited various trails in the Greater Montreal are and beyond. Ideas?

Piano on my MInd
Hi there
I've been trying to rearrange my piano routine to come up with a recipe that gets me to where I want go. I've played and practiced just for the sake of practicing. Now, I want to build up a catalog of songs that I can use when with others. Small family gatherings or with friends, or other events.
Does any one else play for fin like this? I like playing piano, and this will allow me to have a few songs ready all the time, as I learn/relearn my favorite music.
My other goal is to find others with whom I could play duets with. This have been a challenge, but hopefully this will happen.

Hello @Friendica Developers
I was off line for a bit and seem to be slowly restoring activity.
I just want to check that my messages are reaching this group.
Thanks

Hiking and/et Randonnees!
EN : Montréal / Quebec — I’m getting back into spending more time outdoors. I use AllTrails for ideas, but I’m totally open to new adventures. What nature spots (parks, trails, viewpoints) would you recommend in Montréal or elsewhere in Quebec? Bonus if it’s transit-friendly or a short drive.
I’m mostly looking for 1–3 hour outings (but I’m happy to hear longer suggestions too).

@Friendica Support @Friendica Tips
I was looking at the directory and was wondering how does someones profile end up in there? Is i the friendica network "sees' you after a certain amount of time? Individual server "report" their users?
Also, how does a profile get listed as organization or group? I'd like to put a business and group on our friendica.
Thanks
Joseph

My current account is just a user.
How does one go about making a "group" or an "organization"?

Email function for sending email from site is running
While it is still new, the site is slowly taking shape. I was able to- set up the outgoing email server so the site can not send messages to reset passwords, and also to create new accounts.
I am looking to maybe start a new Freindica discussion group, and also maybe improve the landing page for the site. I might also look at adding a relay. I read some where that for small sites,up to 5000 users, there might not be enough local traffic to have enough to read. After that, they you likely you not need a relay.
Freezing rain less bad than expected - in Quebec
The other day we had an upcoming freezing rain warning. We've seen the bad effects of them in the past with downed trees and power outages for days and weeks.
Here is a local article:

This was was expected and the authorities planned well in advance. We were expecting power outages. But, while there were outages, a lot less than expected.\
We were al happy about this:)

Log in page - modify?
Hi there. How have you been?
I remember long ago, back when I had my old friendica server, you post an idea or code about how to modify the long in page.
Is this code still round, or do you have any helpful advice to modify the log in page? I will ask the groups, but I recall your idea back them.
Thanks
Joseph
